Akademika Publishing has the objective of helping to develop a broad range of good textbooks and academic literature.

We also publish research work such as project reports, conference proceedings and seminar reports and journals. We are medium-sized publishing house by Norwegian standards. This means that we have close internal communication and a good overview of work in progress. We take care that communication with our authors is always a two-way process based on cooperation throughout the production process. This is where our size is a positive advantage. In 1999, Akademika Publishing was acclaimed the best academic press in Norway. The award was given by the Norwegian Non-Fiction Writers and Translators Association (NFF) after polling professional writers about their experience with their own publishers. This confirms that we are on the right track and endorses our efforts to work to continuously upgrade the quality of our products - that means your books. In 2002, we won another award, the Rosing Prize for publishers of high quality Norwegian-language higher education IT teaching material. This is a prestigious award that was established by the Norwegian Language Council and the Norwegian Computer Society.
